Greek Folk Dances
Greek Folk Music
One of the more popular types of Greek folk music is the so-called rembetiko. The history of this is from back the 20s of the XX century.
Macedonian customs
Passchover, or Easter, is the most important holiday for the Greeks. It symbolizes the time of resurrection and rebirth.They celebrate it with great pomp, celebrating with family, which is the most important value for them.
Siesta is a rest in the middle of the day, which is a very important element of the residents’ everyday life.Most shops and offices are closed, and the streets seem unusually quiet. Even the central streets of large cities are deserted.
Culinary traditions
Moussaka is a traditional Greek dish that consists of layers of eggplants or potatoes, minced meat, onion, tomatoes, spices and béchamel sauce. The whole thing is baked and then served in pieces.
Greeks Most often drink coffee.
Greek coffee is a strong coffee brew, served with foam on top (kaimaki) and grounds at the bottom of the cup.
Architecture
Ancient Greek architecture came from the Greek-speaking people (Hellenic people) whose culture flourished on the Greek mainland, the Peloponnese, the Aegean Islands, and in colonies in Anatolia and Italy for a period from about 900 BC until the 1st century AD, with the earliest remaining architectural works dating from around 600 BC
Sculpture
Ancient Greeks were sculpting mainly characters, who were often Greek gods. Some of them survived to this days but of course not all. In the next part I will show you some famous Greek sculptors and sculptures.

What religion do the Greeks believe in?
Greeks believe in a Jesus Christ (orthodoxy).
What importance does religion have for the Greeks?
For the Greeks, the most important thing is the miracle and faith of God.
