Build bridges, fly a spaceship und uncover the mysteries of the universe at this fascinating museum. The Copernicus Science Centre is an innovative, hands-on museum that invites families to discover the laws of science through experiments, quizzes and interactive exhibitions.
One of Europe’s largest and most modern museums, the center features over 450 exhibits in seven permanent galleries. The museum can be visited from 5 november 2010 and is located on the Wybrzeże Kościuszkowski in Warsaw.
The distribution of visitors to the Copernicus Science Centre is differential. Adults are primarily looking for entertainment and interesting leisure activities. Children, on the other hand, look here for inspiration for science in addition to entertainment.

There are many exhibitions in the Copernicus center that appeal to everyone. These are, for example, year-round exhibitions such as
– Robotic theater is a show where we will see technologically advanced humanoids that we call RoboThespiany. These are robots that move with compressed air, they can speak many languages, gesticulate, move their heads and express emotions.
– In the High Voltage Theater, you will watch immersive performances with the flow in the lead role and surprising scientific shows, during which our animators present experiments in various fields of science. Push down on a heavy tin door, sit in a safe Faraday cage and see the powerful lightning bolts up close. Find out what secrets the light hides, how to find the center of gravity, and why anyone can play in our Copernican Orchestra.
– The Experimentation Zone is the central exposition of Copernicus, located in the huge, open space of the first floor. It is devoted to nature and the phenomena occurring in it, as well as to man and the human perception of the physical world. You can experiment on your own with around 200 experimental stations.
There are even more different kinds of exhibitions that change depending on the time of the year.
Besides to the permanent exhibitions, the Kopernikus Science Centre also hosts cultural and musical events. They take place once or repeatedly.
One such event is the Transformation Festival, which has been taking place since 2011. The main objective of this festival is to identify and analyse the changes around us that can strongly influence our lives in the future.
These are technological change, the development of science, social life, the environment, urbanisation and its impact on our lives and its impact on those changes.
The Copernicus Planetarium of the Science Centre is one of the leading institutions of its kind in Europe. Thanks to modern technology, the universe is open to us.
This place is equipped with a spherical screen with a diameter of up to 16 meters, allowing you to embark on the conquest of space. There are various shows for all ages. For the little ones there are shows called “Polaris”, which tell about the friendship between the penguin and the polar bear.
For an older group of visitors there is a show called “Invisible Universe.” It allows you to view the Milky Way with many details. In addition, it shows the wanderings of the astronauts and the prospect that the research station on Mount Wilson.
